These Vehicles Are Vulnerable to Theft #infographic

Luxury cars or cars with parts in high demand are targeted for their resale value. Older cars or cars with weak security stand out to thieves on the hunt for vehicles. Even social media trends and tips leave certain models more vulnerable to theft. Knowing the risks can help vehicle owners take precautions, so the team at Convoy Car Shipping crunched the data and determined which vehicles are most at risk based on the number of thefts per model in 2023. They even mapped out the most stolen model in each state.

New rules established by the Department of Transportation (DOT) assert that airlines will soon need to instantly refund passengers upon flight cancelations, delays, or making significant changes; regardless of the reasons.

The refund, DOT states, will be required to be done in the form of cash or the original form of payment, and not vouchers. Passengers could also be offered alternatives such as travel credit, other transportation options, or another flight offered by the airline.

DOT highlights “significant changes” as some specific situations, in which cases passengers will be expected to be refunded. These scenarios can be, for instance, changes in the flight’s arrival or departure time by three or more hours for domestic flights and six hours for international flights, or a change in the departure or arrival airport.

The lab’s team is being led by Alan Clarke, executive director of advanced EV development at Ford.

In 2023, Ford reported a loss of $1.6 billion and announced that it would reduce its expenditure on EVs, so it could fulfil customers’ needs in a better way. However, the current news of Ford’s experimentations with low-cost EVs suggests that the company is still adamant on competing with Tesla and other EV automakers like BYD.
