A strong passport allows holders wide access to many countries without the hassle and inconvenience of a Visa. Other countries may require a Visa upon arrival, making it easy to initially enter the country. When Visas are required for entry, travelers can get caught up in a lot of red tape, fees, and the possibility they won’t be allowed past the border. The team at Italian Dual Citizenship determined which countries have the greatest access to Visa-free travel and the most restrictions.
The list shows that the world’s strongest passport belongs to the United Arab Emirates. Emiratis have access to travel in 133 countries without a Visa and 46 countries with a Visa on arrival. There’s a big tie at the top of the list among countries that belong to the European Union, like Spain, France, Italy, and Germany. The weakest passports belong to Syria and Afghanistan. Syrians can access nine countries without a Visa, and Afghans can only access six.
