A new infographic from Joslyn Law Firm highlights the growing problem of overdose deaths. The team collected data on the changing statistics in deaths by overdose, then organized the data into categories of drugs to determine which variety is the deadliest.
The drug that caused the most deaths was synthetic opioids. The graphic makes it clear that the prevalence of fentanyl is responsible for a drastic increase in drug overdose deaths. Statistics collected at the top of the graphic inform us that seven out of ten opioid pills were laced with deadly amounts of fentanyl. In 2023, enough fentanyl was seized to kill the entire population of the U.S. It seems clear from the team's data that the battle against fentanyl must be won to overcome the epidemic of overdose deaths. This infographic offers valuable insight into one of America’s most concerning issues.
