Many people wonder what it takes to be a Fortune 500 CEO. How much experience does it take? How much time does it take to build a company and raise it to such heights? This infographic by Madison Trust helps illustrate the answer to these questions by listing out CEOs by their age. It shows us that there are relatively few CEOs under age 50, indicating that the road to the top is a long one. There are only 39 CEOs on the list between ages 40 to 49, and only one under age 40 (though he will turn 40 in May 2024.)
Here are a few of the young trailblazing CEOs on this list:
- Mark Zuckerberg: Age 39
- Ernest Garcia III: Age 40
- Toby Rice: Age 42
- Sarah London: Age 42
- Brian Chesky: Age 42
- Sumit Singh: Age 44
- Mario Harik: Age 44
- Timothy Spence: Age 44
- Brad Beckham: Age 45
