To help businesses obtain the value of its highly active interest-based
communities, Reddit has introduced a new set of analytics and data insights
called ‘Reddit Pro.’ Reddit’s insights are relevant to a wide range of queries,
even tempting tech giant Google into signing a $60 million p.a. deal with the
company to acquire them.
“With Reddit Pro, we’re giving businesses and organizations
the tools to unlock where, when, and how to effectively participate on the
platform, whether as a complement to their Reddit ads or as a means of
standalone organic engagement,” says Reddit.
The new Reddit Pro dashboard is an addition to the platform’s
existing data set. It will provide businesses data in relation to their own
post view counts, upvotes and followers gained, as well as simplified access to
trend insights that facilitate relevant discussions in the app.
Some of the most important analytics and insights options in
Reddit Pro are Publishing Tools, Performance Analytics, and AI-Powered Trend
Insights.
Publishing Tools are meant to help businesses plan out their
posting approach, with options like post scheduling and drafts. Performance Analytics
contain data like views, comments and shares, that show how posts are being engaged
with. Lastly, the AI-powered insights include data specifically related to a user’s
interests, like industry trends and engagement insights.
Reddit has already tested Reddit Pro with more than 200
brands, including Wendy’s, The Wall Street Journal, NASA and the NFL. The tool
set is, however, only available on a first-come, first-serve basis for now and
will be expanded to more people later.
