Microsoft’s AI ventures, that started with Bing, are only getting
bigger and better with time. From AI in Office apps, to a dedicated AI key
for laptops, Microsoft has integrated the technology in just about everything that
it owns.
In the AI domain, Microsoft has now shifted its focus off of
Bing after being met with a lack of success that it had been anticipating for
the platform. In place of Bing, the company has been giving the limelight to Copilot
for some time now - the AI assistant that is now a part of Microsoft’s almost
every key software and service.
In one of its latest efforts to make Copilot stand out, Microsoft has launched a new Super Bowl commercial for Copilot that is set to air on Sunday. The meaning incorporated into the commercial revolves around what makes Copilot special, AI’s creative solutions, and the stories of gamers with disabilities.
A simple campaign like, without the use of any additional
products, relies on just a single phone that could encourage people to download
the Copilot app on their iOS and Android devices. In addition to the commercial,
Microsoft is bringing in new Copilot features as well, that are dedicated
to an improved user experience and Copilot’s most popular and creative image
generation abilities.
Some updates to Copilot’s image creation faculty is its
ability to highlight objects in an AI-generated image, blur the background of
an image, and add effects like pixel art to an image. On the whole, the app has
also been updated to give off a sharper visual and feel, with subtle changes to
color treatments, spacing, and speed. The reason why Microsoft gives so much importance
to image generation in Copilot is because it offers it free of cost to everyone.
Yusuf Mehdi, executive vice president and consumer chief marketing officer at Microsoft, has also hinted at an upcoming major Windows refresh with AI.
