Meta is Rolling out ‘Link History Archive’ that Saves Links Interacted with in Facebook’s App - Visualistan -->

    Social Items

For the past few months, Meta has been rolling out the option of a Link History archive for both Android and iOS, in select regions. The option is meant to help users easily find links that they have interacted with in the Facebook app.

The option can be enabled / disabled manually. Turning it on would save all links that you have tapped and visited in the app and mobile browser. The links will remain in the archive for 30 days and you can also remove them from your history at any time. Links that are not saved in the archive include ones that you have visited via private chats on Messenger.

A similar option that already exists in the Facebook app is ‘Recent Ad Activity,’ that tracks ads that users have engaged with. These options not only benefit users, but also enable Facebook to collect data on users’ interests so as to provide them a more personalized in-app experience.
