How often did you go to the playground as a child? Playing on the playground is one of the most memorable parts of our childhood, but some kids across the United States don’t have as much access to playgrounds as others do. According to a study by the team at PlaygroundEquipment.com, some cities in the U.S. only have two playgrounds to share between 10,000 people. You can find the results of their study in the chart below which ranks fifty U.S. cities on their number of playgrounds per capita. The chart also includes a column for the total number of park playground sites around each of the fifty cities.
Which city would you guess ranks number one for the most playgrounds per capita? The answer to that would be Madison, Wisconsin; a city that proves it won’t let cold temperatures throughout much of the year keep it from building lots of playgrounds!
