Per various studies that have been done, it's been estimated that close to 50% of people who are considered to be super wealthy inherited their fortunes, or were part of a family that gave them more opportunities to increase their wealth even more. The team at Madison Trust has a new infographic that looks at which of the world's richest people inherited their wealth. It includes several notable billionaires on it, like Mukesh Ambani, Alice Walton, Rob Walton, Jim Walton, Abigail Johnson, and Alain Wertheimer, among other billionaires. At the top of the list is Mukesh Ambani, who inherited the money from his father Dhirubhai Ambani of India, who founded Reliance Industries in 1958. Today, Mukesh Ambani is now not only heading Reliance Industries, but he's also considered to be the wealthiest individual in all of Asia.
This infographic certainly offers an interesting mix of different individuals who inherited wealth from their families.
