Microsoft has begun testing the Bing AI chatbot with select Google
Chrome and Safari users, and plans to later expand access to more users.
As opposed to using Bing Chat on Edge where users are allowed to type up to 4000 words, Bing on Chrome allows typing only up to 2000 words. Another difference is that conversations with the chatbot will reset after five turns on Chrome, whereas on Edge they reset after 30 turns. Additionally, Chrome users will be shown pop-ups when using Bing, prompting them to download Edge.
Microsoft has also added a dark mode option in Bing, which
can be accessed from the ‘appearance’ option within the menu settings in the
top-right corner of Bing Chat. Dark mode, however, is not yet available to all users
who are currently able to access Bing.
