Google confirms that it is in the process of developing a
feature that allows users of Google Wallet to share select passes with others, such
as event tickets and boarding passes.
Only companies that enable this feature will provide users the ability to share their issued passes. Users will be able to tell which passes can be shared, from the Share icon that appears above them. Google has clarified that once a pass is shared, the action can not be undone. Moreover, the recipient of the pass will be able to forward it to anyone that they want.
Several other features are also making way to Google Wallet,
including custom cards and state IDs, that were announced last month. Users will
soon be able to add customized membership cards and travel passes with barcodes
or QR codes, to their Google Wallet.
