There are many different styles of wedding dresses to choose from and each is wildly different from the next. Sheath dresses are a simple yet elegant dress that falls straight to the floor in a very romantic way and is typically made from silk. There are bohemian style, tea length and even pant suits that brides can wear today. The price for these different styles can vary dramatically. Lulus.com put together this US map showing which cities spend the most and least on wedding dresses. On average, you will find higher prices in NYC, Hawaii, Alaska, New Jersey and Connecticut. Cities that spend less on wedding dresses are Mississippi, Alabama, Arkansas and Kentucky. Many people plan in advance for these expenses but it is still good to know where your budget can be stretched the furthest.
