Pinterest is expanding the integration of video content on its app, by collaborating with publisher Dotdash Meredith, who is bringing original content from lifestyle brands to the app.
Today, Pinterest and @dotdashmeredith are announcing a year-long partnership to bring nearly 200 original videos to the platform, timed with annual moments audiences care about ranging from wedding season to the holidays.

The new video content, expected to appear on Pinterest this
month, includes about 200 videos and series, showcasing a range of lifestyle trends.
The integration will be initiated with two video series from ‘Better Homes
& Gardens’, featuring tablescapes inspired by seasonal colour palettes and
helpful tips and tricks published over the brand’s 100 years. This will be followed
by content from ‘Brides’ that will highlight the most popular wedding dress
styles and wedding trends of 2023, using 360-degree videos.
Like other popular social apps, Pinterest too has been considering
focusing on video content and expanded discovery on the app. Other brands that the
social company has previously partnered with for exclusive videos include Tastemade
and Conde Naste. Ever since these efforts, Pinterest has observed a boost in engagement
with its app, with over a billion views on videos each day and a 30%
quarter-over-quarter rise in its video inventory in Q4.
