LinkedIn has introduced a new messaging update to its
platform that enables users to forward posts to multiple members at once.
When forwarding a post on LinkedIn, you can select more than one member to send it to. This can be done in two ways: by forwarding the post to each member separately or creating a new group chat with the selected members. Additionally, a typed message can be included with the post.
LinkedIn has recently observed a 20% year over year rise in
social engagement across its platform, which explains its focus on introducing
new engagement features. Generally, too, direct messaging has become an
important element of social media interactions, which has driven almost every
social media platform to improve the DM experience for users.
In another recent messaging update, LinkedIn added new DM
tagging tools that help users categorise messages in their inbox, while a new
Focused Inbox tab divides Inbox messages into ‘Featured’ and ‘Other’ folders.
LinkedIn’s new multi-forwarding feature is rolling out to
all users starting this week.
