We all know the biggest companies in the world; but what about the biggest companies in the world, by country? The WyomingLLCAttorney research team created a visualization of just that. Their world map visual includes the logo and market value of the biggest company in each country; with the “biggest” title being determined by the company’s market value as of September 2022. Using data from The Global 2000 annual list by Forbes and various international stock markets, they were able to determine the biggest company in ninety different countries around the world. Every continent is represented on the map and the countries are colored based on their biggest company’s industry; the countries with no data available are grayed out and are mainly found in Africa and the Middle East.
Thanks to the colors its easy to see that companies in the energy or banking industries make up a majority of the biggest companies around the world. What is your country’s biggest company?
