The cost of living can be quite different from city to city and state to state across the United States. In one part of the country, you could be living well, whereas in a different area of the country with that same income, you could be struggling mightily to get by. The research team at Madison Trust Company has released this new infographic that analyzes the 50 most populous cities in the United States, along with how much money you would need to make in each of them to be considered rich.
Their team utilized data from the U.S. Census Bureau, and was able to determine that in the United States, the city where you would need to make the most amount of money on an annual basis to be considered rich would be San Jose, California, where the mean income of the top 20% of the city's population earns $500,341 a year.
