TikTok has long been focusing on offering monetization opportunities to creators on its platforms. In one of such attempts, the company has recently initiated facilitation of brand deals. As part of this initiative, the company has launched a new element within the Creator Marketplace that is dedicated to talent managers.
The feature, called Talent Manager, can be used by creators’
agents or representatives to manage all aspects of their listings and oversee
brand deals that are being offered to them. Moreover, this monitoring process
will not allow talent managers to access their clients’ TikTok accounts. The
functionality would ultimately help in enhancing creators’ sponsored content
pitch.
Since TikTok is a short-form video platform, adding
efficient monetization options is bit of a challenge for the company. This is
also the reason why TikTok hasn’t been very successful in using eCommerce and
in-stream shopping options for monetization.
