The amount of STD cases in the United States are higher than ever before. In just 2020, the United States saw more than two million cases of chlamydia, syphilis and gonorrhea were reported to the CDC. This new infographic from the team at NYRequirements uses data from CDC's NCHHSTP AtlasPlus to see which counties in the United States have the highest rates of STD cases, and it also included state data. According to the data, STD cases are more commonly found in Mississippi, as Hinds County, Mississippi has more cases of STDs than any other county in the United States, with 2,253.2 cases per 100,000 state residents. Not only that, but Mississippi leads the country in terms of the most STD cases by state as well, with 1,291.4 per 100,000 state residents. In fact, Mississippi is one of only two states where the rate of cases exceeds 1,000, with the other being Louisiana (1,058 cases per 100,000 residents).
