Halloween is celebrated with full energy widely in the
United States. On an average, a consumer is estimated to spend more than $100
on items related to Halloween in 2022. With this amount as an average, it has now
become a multibillion dollar industry.
According to the figures provided by Statista Dossier, the total expenditure of the Halloween parties planned in the United States has gone up from $3.3 billion in 2005 to nearly three times that, at a predicted $10.6 billion in 2022. Out of all the items related to Halloween, consumers choose to spend most of their money on costumes each year, and in some cases that even extends to their pets.
As the chart shows using data from the National Retail
Federation, when it comes to dressing up their pets (dogs and cats), the preferred
costume of choice of an American adult is a pumpkin, followed by a hot dog,
super hero, cat and finally a bumble bee.
