Instagram is testing a new advanced setting in its app that
allows users to schedule posts by setting a
date and time for a post to go live. The functionality will reportedly
work for both still images and Reels.
The post scheduling tool was previously launched in 2020 as a
part of Creator Studio, so as to enable Instagram users to manage their posts
on the go, and is therefore not entirely new to the platform. However, integrating
the tool within the main app could make the process of scheduling IG posts simpler.
According to Meta, it is currently testing the functionality
with a limited percentage of people on Instagram.
