Hospitals are one of the most essential systems that exist globally today. The marvels of modern medicine and their applications save lives every hour of every day. It comes as a surprise to many then that hospitals are riddled with inefficiency and understaffing almost universally. COVID in particular brought these issues to the forefront. Suddenly drugs were hitting all time shortages, workers were more in demand than ever, and patients were swamping any workers that were available. While modern medicine is undeniably impressive, the modern hospital itself does not have as much glamor.
One solution to these operational concerns is similarly unglamorous. Pneumatic tubing. Pressurized air moving carriers from one part of the hospital to another, or even test results to a nearby lab. This system solves some of the most basic issues that hospitals experience day to day.
Pneumatic tubing is instant and nearly contact free. This means workers are freed up, human error is reduced, and transportation times are majorly dropped. Pneumatic tubing rose to prominence through its use in mailing, and while mail eventually evolved far beyond this system, hospitals have not. Drugs, tests, and small materials simply have to physically move throughout the hospital. And there is no better modern solution than pneumatic tubing.
