Hospitals are one of the most essential systems that exist globally today. The marvels of modern medicine and their applications save lives every hour of every day. It comes as a surprise to many then that hospitals are riddled with inefficiency and understaffing almost universally. COVID in particular brought these issues to the forefront. Suddenly drugs were hitting all time shortages, workers were more in demand than ever, and patients were swamping any workers that were available. While modern medicine is undeniably impressive, the modern hospital itself does not have as much glamor.
