Each year, about 600 million pounds of Halloween candy are sold, which comes out to be about 24 pounds of candy per person in the United States.
This new infographic from TitleMax, which uses Halloween Candy sales data from CandyStore.com, determines which candies are the most popular Halloween candies in each state across the country. The data, specifically from 2007 through 2021, also includes data on how many pounds of these specific candies were sold in these states over this period. Also, per the data, the top ten Halloween candies were Reese's Cups, Skittles, M&M's, Starbursts, Hot Tamale, Sour Patch Kids, Hershey Kisses, Snickers, Tootsie Pops, and Candy Corn. The best-selling Halloween candy of them all is Reese's Cups, the top candy in the United States. In fact, in 2021 alone, Reese's Cups saw $671.1 million in sales.
