Instagram has launched a new update for Stories that it has
been testing for some time, which contributes to the viewing experience in the
app. Up until now, videos posted as Stories with duration more than 60 seconds
were divided into 15 seconds long Stories, but with the new update, this will no
longer be the case.
Perhaps by implementing these changes, Instagram aims to
improve its recommendations algorithm, since a single video format integrated
into the main feed would make it easier for content to be discovered by users. It
would also, simultaneously, reinforce the focus on entertainment through video
content.
