What's your favorite kind of cereal? It's possible that your favorite cereal today was your favorite kind of cereal when you were much younger. In a recent Mintel survey from 2021, which included 1,806 participants, it was found that 58% of them still most enjoyed the cereal that they loved as a child. Cereal is one of the most popular breakfast options out there, especially in America, as 49% of Americans prefer to begin their day with a bowl of cereal. Not only that, but per data from the National Cereal Day website, it's estimated that on an annual basis, 2.7 billion boxes of cereal are sold! Taking all of this into account, the team at Kulick's French Toast Recipes put together this infographic that looks at the 19 most popular cereals based on the number of boxes sold. Of the 19 different types of cereals listed, just five of them sell more than 100 million boxes of cereal annually, with those being Cheerios (139.1 million boxes), Frosted Flakes (132.2 million), Honey Nut Cheerios (129.3 million), Honey Bunches of Oats (111.3 million) and Cinnamon Toast Crunch (105.2 million).
