Forbes publishes a Global 2000 list every year and it spotlights the largest companies in the world. There is always a section that includes world banks and from that list this graphic from Indyfin.com was created. After examining the 2021 list in its entirety, this unique list of top 30 banks that make the most money per second was developed. To get these results the banks annual profits were divided by the number of seconds in a year. China holds the most spots on this top 30 list with 12. Calculating their profit per second from all 12 spots equals $6,802! The United States is not too far behind China in total banks on the list and has a total of $4,144 per second. Another country that has several positions on this list is Canada. With their three rankings their total amount per second is $730.
There is a huge financial contrast between China who is number one in both position and in total banks listed to Canada. The populations alone assist in this drastic difference. It is still extremely impressive to see each and every one of these institutions make this chart. There are several countries that only made it on here once, but to know the grander scope of this analysis humbles you.
