Twitter is Testing a new Collaboration Feature ‘CoTweets’ - Visualistan -->

Co-creation is a new social media element that has lately become popular. Facebook and Instagram added the option of collaboration on posts, while TikTok introduced its Duet feature. Following them, Twitter has recently added the option of collaborative tweets called ‘CoTweets.’

Twitter is currently experimenting with the option and has released it to a limited number of users. Via CoTweets, a user can invite another user to contribute to one same tweet.

Looking at the rise in the number of influencer and business accounts, CoTweets could be especially helpful for such accounts to make collaborations and cross promotions.

Another way that CoTweets could be used is when you would like to give credit of the content in your tweet to the original creator, you could simply share your tweet with them, so their profile details are included in it.

CoTweets would help in increasing engagement with tweets and building audiences. The feature, according to Twitter, will be available for a limited time, and select accounts in the US, Canada and Korea will be able to access it initially.

Twitter explained the testing process, saying “We’re temporarily testing CoTweets to get more insight into how and why people and brands might use a feature like this to collaborate together and learn more about how it could help accounts grow new followers.”
