LinkedIn is introducing a new product showcase feature, with
the help of which users can highlight specific products and projects on their profiles.
In addition to this, the company is also adding some new connection features to
its Newsletter functionality and an account switcher option for Company Page
admins.
The new product showcase tool is an extension of LinkedIn’s
Product Pages functionality that it launched back in 2020. The feature will
enable users to add the products that they’ve worked on as a sub-element in their
experience listings in the Experience section, therefore enhancing users’
ability to showcase their expertise.
Moreover, if the products showcased are also listed within your company page, LinkedIn will add a link of the products to the corresponding Product Page on your company profile, hence ensuring improved brand discovery and opening up new marketing opportunities as well.
These additions would also be helpful in providing LinkedIn
with more specific data about products that people work on under varying
job titles, which would ultimately match users with relevant job openings and
career paths.
As for the updated Newsletter functionality, there is a new
option that enables including both @mentions and #hashtags in Newsletters and
Articles to help maximize content reach. The platform is also enabling Company
Page admins to respond as their brand to any post in the app. “By joining these
conversations, brands can share their unique perspective, reach new audiences,
and grow their followers,” says LinkedIn.
