LinkedIn has
released some new updates for its platform, including a new option of
showcasing links on profiles, new analytics tools for group posts, a
video trimming feature for the mobile app, and new newsletter display options.
The option that stands out the most among these is the one
that allows showcasing links. LinkedIn users can add website links of
their choice to their profile display that will appear below their username and
description. The placement of the links will help attract clicks and allow free
promotions of users’ other accounts outside of LinkedIn through the app. It will
also help enhance users’ presence on the platform.

Next, the group posts analytics tools are designed to provide
users with engagement data for their group shares from their posts. The “view
analytics” option will be available under group content, the same way it is
displayed for other posts on LinkedIn.
Then there is the new video trimming option which is meant
to help with customization and enhancement of video content that users share on
LinkedIn. However, it can only be used on the mobile app for now.
Lastly, the new newsletter display options include the
ability to share newsletter links in the ‘Featured’ section of a profile and addition
of a newsletter option in Creator mode. By using the option in Creator mode,
users can improve direct connection with their audience via LinkedIn’s tools.
While these updates are not as major, they will be still
valuable for users in terms of promoting content, gathering insights, and
driving traffic.
