Snapchat has
launched a news and information related feature called Dynamic Stories, which
is designed to help partner publishers link their content feed into the
platform.
According to Snapchat, the feature will use a partner’s RSS
Feed to “automatically create Stories from the content a Publisher is already
creating on the web.”
The feature will help save publishers’ time and effort that
goes into manually creating and updating their Discover feed, while ensuring an
updated feed in the app. Ultimately, this would simplify publishers’ workflow
and maximize connection with users.
Snapchat’s Discover format has been working pretty well and in alignment with the changing media consumption trends, therefore Dynamic Stories will likely be a successful feature in terms of engaging audience with the most recent news.
The publishing partners that Snapchat has contributed with
initially for this initiative include Axios, Bloomberg, ESPN, GQ and others. The
feature is being tested in select countries for now, including in the US, UK,
France, and India.
