There are many ways to generate power and some are better for the environment than others. Wind, water and solar energy don't create harmful emissions like coal or nuclear power plants. In the US, the Biden administration wants a completely carbon pollution-free power sector by 2035 and they want to extend that to zero emissions economy-wide by 2050. The largest in the US is also a hydro powered plant in Washington called the Grand Coulee Dam. Wind powered power plants also make up a large portion of power on the world grid. Unlike burning fossil fuels, wind power is a less expensive and environmentally sound way to generate power. The largest wind power plant in the world is located in China, the Gansu wind power plant has a capacity of 7,965 MW.
