Twitter has released a new update for Direct Messaging that would be helpful to users: the ability to pin chats. You can now pin up to six chats at once to the top of your inbox. In that way, you can keep track of your important or favorite conversations.

You can access the new option by swiping to the right on any chat that you want to pin. Once you have pinned a chat, it will remain on the top even if new messages from other chats come in.
This is an easy way to exchange messages with your favorite
people on the app, without having to scroll all the way down or search for their
username to locate your conversations with them. It would also be useful for
brands to keep in touch with customers with whom they have ongoing dealings
with, especially because it could get difficult to remember customers’ usernames.
Twitter is also working on another DM tool to make message
exchanging easier, which would offer the ability to search for keywords of the
DM content to locate specific messages.
