Twitter’s TweetDeck that was launched in July in Preview
mode has been updated with a new playback feature. It allows users to expand
and watch video clips from a TweetDeck column while they use the app.

If you choose to play a video clip from a TweetDeck column,
it will start playing at the bottom of your window if you scroll past it, hence
making it possible for you to watch the video and scroll through the app simultaneously.
The dock screen can be exited and can also be pinned to a different spot on the screen. Moreover, if you switch decks or remove the column that originally had the video, the playback will still continue.
TweetDeck’s overall format has been updated with an improved
column creation, ‘Decks’ for building multiple dashboards in the app, updated tweet
presentation, list discovery, and DM management among other options.
Twitter has been testing TweetDecks for 6 months now and by
looking at the improved version of it, as well as Twitter’s plans to monetize the
tool, it seems like the company may decide to launch it to all users anytime
soon.
