It's official: our furry friends have joined us in the metaverse! New applications are being developed everyday that add to the expanding metaverse, and many of those applications now allow for pets to join their owners, or even people without pets to have that experience. Users of platforms like MetaPets can design and own digital pets, participate in dog shows, and even generate revenue from their virtual pets. Metapets isn’t restricted to only cats and dogs, users can even design and own their own horses and run in races. Other platforms like Axie Infinity rely on NFT’s and can lead to some serious earning thoroughbred virtual pets. CryptoKitties i s another platform that lets users buy, collect, and breed cats and even play games and solve puzzles with other virtual pet owners.
Owning can be a very fun and fulfilling experience, so why limit it to just the physical world? With the rate at which the metaverse is growing, it seems only fair to allow users to bring their furry friends along with them.
