You asked (a lot), so we made it. Now rolling out in Labs: NFT Profile Pictures on iOS pic.twitter.com/HFyspS4cQW
As a Twitter Blue subscriber, your NFT image will be linked
directly to your ownership data on OpenSea. Only actual owners of the NFT
profiles will have their images displayed in the new hexagonal format with
official links. Additionally, the links will help reduce unauthorized use of
the images.
According to Twitter, the new feature “provides a seamless, user-friendly way for people on Twitter to verify their NFT ownership”
The NFT profile pictures can be set up from profile picture
settings on Twitter, where you will be guided through the linking process. By
connecting your Crypto wallet with your NFT collection, you can establish a
link between your existing Twitter profile image and ownership information. As
a result, your profile image will be updated with the new hexagonal format.
Anytime someone taps on your hexagonal profile image, more
information about your NFT will be displayed to them.
Since the NFT profile image option is available to Twitter
Blue subscribers only for now, this will likely help Twitter boost interest in
Twitter Blue as well. Twitter may use this opportunity to further update
Twitter Blue with new features and gain profit out of it.
