For the past decade, homeschooling rates across the United States have remained relatively stagnant at just around 3.3%. However, when the COVID-19 pandemic hit the world in 2020, everything changed, and that includes on the homeschooling from. From the research team at AAA State of Play, this infographic looks at how homeschooling rates across America were affected as a result of the pandemic. The data is based on April through September of 2020, with the data coming from the U.S. Census Bureau's experimental Household Pulse Survey. According to the research, it was found that Alaska was the state that saw the biggest jump in homeschooling, seeing an increase of 17.9%. Not only was this the biggest jump across the country, but it was also the only increase that was more than 13.1% (Florida saw the 2nd highest increase with 13.1%).
