2021 Google Search trends as compared to 2020 in the UK #infographic

The annual result of Google Search at the end of a year reveals so much about the entire year. Since 2020 and 2021 have been the years with a lot of happenings, the Google Search trends show a lot including many different yet similar trends as well.

Compared to 2020, this year the most widely searched queries on Google in the UK were ‘Covid vaccine’ and ‘Lockdown’. Moreover, as the infographics show, the nation comforted itself through the pandemic restrictions was by binging the famous TV show ‘Love Island’. Whereas, many people also search for ‘when will Love Island start/finish?’

One of the top Netflix that that not only dominated our screens but UK’s Google Search trend as well, was the ‘Squid Game’. Accompanied by other top shows such as Bridgerton and The Serpent as the top three most-searched TV shows/movies.

On the other hand, when it comes to the serious side of worldly affairs, as the infographics show, the people search Afghanistan as well as Sarah Everard.
