Google had announced back in August that it would soon bring
the Dark Mode to Maps’ iOS app and has finally launched it.
To enable Dark Mode, you will need to tap your profile
picture in the top right of the screen and from the menu, select Settings and then
select Dark Mode. It will display three options: On, Off, and Same as device
setting. Choosing the third option will automatically turn dark mode on or off
depending on your phone’s OS level settings.
Google had earlier launched Dark Mode for Android as well,
although the setting for enabling it is a little different. As an Android user,
you will see the option of Theme from the Settings displayed after tapping your
profile picture, from where you can access the same three Dark Mode options.
