To support freelancers with more opportunities, LinkedIn is
expanding its Services Marketplace, which is a space for freelancers and brands
to connect.
LinkedIn’s Services Marketplace was launched in an initial
beta test back in February and has 2 million users. The platform now plans to roll it out globally, to maximize the opportunities for freelancers by facilitating
their discovery and connection.
The Services listing option, which is one of LinkedIn’s newest features, can be added by a freelancer to their profile. It will provide advanced discovery, new recommendation tools, search filters, and other tools designed to help business owners discover freelancers and hone in on what they need from them.
Another new option available on LinkedIn for freelancers allows
people to instantly send a request for services without needing to connect or
follow them. In addition to this, there is a new dashboard for service
providers so they can manage project requests and messages. The dashboard would
also consist of a Review Status section, where users can manage the client
reviews that are featured on their services page.
LinkedIn is adding new job connection features as well, such
as filters to facilitate flexible work settings in job queries, like Remote, Hybrid,
and On Site. New company page summaries are also available for job seekers to
provide more insight into workforce policies.
