We are about to witness something really exciting for the first time in tech history. The tech giant, Microsoft is opening up its Windows stores for third-party stores i.e., Epics Games and Amazon stores.
A few months ago, Microsoft had announced a few but major changes in its Windows Store, and now this news is rolled out. The store will be overhauled for Windows 11 initially and then for Windows 10. Moreover, the developers will be allowed to keep the entire 100 percent revenue from the applications if they make the use of alternative payment platforms. However, it won’t be applied to the games.
In June, Microsoft was found out to be open for Steam and other third-party apps in the new Windows 11 app store. But, Steam doesn’t seem to be on the list currently but, it is expected to be there in the near future.
