Pinterest is ready to host its annual Creators Festival next
month, where the company plans to share the latest features added to its
platform and its key usage trends, as well as engagement tips for marketers on
Pinterest. The festival will feature top emerging creators of Pinterest, as
well as executives and special guests.
While Pinterest has been a popular creative social platform for quite some time now, it has observed a boost in its usage during the pandemic when more and more people started to turn to it for inspiration and online shopping. Therefore, Pinterest is working on improving the platform in terms of features and formats to maximize engagement.
One of the latest additions to Pinterest is the new Idea Pins, which is Pinterest’s very own stories format. Another feature is the new Watch Mode, which is currently being tested in the form of a full-screen, vertical Pin feed. Then there is the new Takes feature, which is similar to TikTok’s remix option. Takes are basically Idea Pins created in response to original Idea Pins. Creators can share their personal experiences with a product or their own version of an Idea Pin with Takes.
With the holiday season arriving soon, it looks like
Pinterest will have a lot of valuable tools for inspiration to offer to the
creators on its platform.
