For many high school graduates in today's world, finding an eco-friendly college campus has become a much bigger priority than it ever was in the past. The team at SolarPower.guide recently shared this infographic which ranks the 30 universities from around the United States that use the most green energy as a percentage of their total power use.
According to the data, the greenest and most eco-friendly college in America is Georgetown University, who also in 2017 received top honors from the Princeton Review for being the most environmentally friendly in the country. These rankings include several factors to determine which schools are the most eco-friendly, factors that include greenhouse gas emissions, environmental study opportunities, sustainable food sources, and waste management and campus recycling.
Other schools that are considered to be at the top of the list in terms of being eco-friendly include Carnegie Mellon University, Saint Louis University, University at Buffalo (State University of New York) and the University of Vermont.
