Climate change has been a major issue for decades and unfortunately, very little is done about it. the infographic below reveals some brutal realities of the effects of climate change. The report under the title of Climate Change 2021: The Physical Science Basis shares the updates regarding climate change consensus on global warming in 2021. The main highlight of this report is that by 2030, a 1.5-degrees Celsius change could be reached which can bring a lot of extreme consequences to the weather events.
Extreme weather events such as wildfires, cloudburst conditions, drought, cyclones, earthquakes, etc. are some of the most common effects of climate change. The number of these rare weather events is increasing drastically all around the world.
As revealed by the chart, Europe and East Asia have experienced the most climate change patterns as proven by scientists. The most widely seen extreme weather events in these regions include heat and rain. However, Eastern Asia and Eastern Central Asia along with Western Central Asia and Western and Central Europe are also experiencing extreme weather events frequently.
Regions that are seeing heat and drought include Northeast South America, Western North America, West, and Central Africa, and Southern Australia. In South America and Africa, the data of precipitations is relatively limited which indicates very little change in these regions.
Surprisingly, there is one region that has experienced a notable decrease in extreme weather events i.e., Tropical Northern Australia.
There have been several public figures trying to raise their voice against the issue which however goes unnoticed by the state’s government. Greta Thunberg is an 18-year-old Swedish girl, and yet a prominent name among the Environmental Activists trying to educate and aware the people for such a huge issue.
