Facebook is developing a new feature for businesses on WhatsApp
called Business Directory. Like the name suggests, it will work as a business
directory, except that unlike any other business directory that exists in a
physical form, this one will be available in the digital space.
The key element of WhatsApp’s Business Directory is that it will show registered businesses to users on a map. This way, a single central location will be provided to customers where all the businesses will appear in different categories.
The feature is available in WhatsApp’s latest beta version. After
fulfilling all the requirements, businesses can sign up to access the Business
Directory. It is important to have a business license and a profile picture
that’s publicly visible to become part of the directory.
Apparently, WhatsApp’s Business Directory can be a useful
tool for both businesses and customers, especially small businesses.
