As spotted by ChrisSDreiling, a Redditor, the current version of Apple Maps seems to alert the users about weather conditions in their preferred route. Moreover, the map also suggests an alternative route to the destination so that the flooded route is avoided.
Since the world is experiencing rare and unexpected extreme weather events, this feature would be a huge help for people who travel on long routes. The upcoming iOS version 15 is due for launch in September 2021.
