Something tells me this Wikihow article titled, '15 Steps to Becoming a Billionaire' makes it seem much easier than it actually is. They go on to tell you to 'create opportunities, invest wisely and retain wealth.' Sounds easy enough, right? So how do you begin to create opportunities that would get you closer to having all those zeros in your bank account? Why not start by finding where all the other billionaires are and trying to get into the fringe of that circle? This helpful graphic shows the world cities with the billionaires. You could try heading to NYC where you would have the company of another 112 billionaires or you could try Beijing which has the most listed billionaires in the world at 145. These are very large cities with large populations. If you wanted to try to narrow down your circle, I would suggest one of the top cities with the most billionaires per capita like Geneva, Switzerland (9.5 per capita) or San Francisco, California, 6.4 billionaires per capita.
Geneva, Switzerland, billionaires: 9.54875 per capita (19 total)
San Francisco, California, billionaires: 6.40029 per capita (56 total)
