Since the company itself announced that it is working on a feature called Super Follows earlier this year, we can expect the launch of this feature soon. Through the Super Follows, many creators would be able to charge some of their selective followers to provide extra access to their content.
An app researcher, Jan Manchun Wong tweeted how this feature may look like and it looks pretty accurate. According to the research, this program is not for everyone and will be available for only users having a minimum of 10,000 followers on their Twitter account. Also, they must have at least 25 posts in the past 30 days and should be at least 18 years old in order to become eligible for the Super Follows program.Twitter announces “Super Follow”, like Patreon but on Twitter https://t.co/5YBmEfgsUn pic.twitter.com/aY9g1ozoJz

Twitter has however refused to comment on the research by Wong but, since it has already described the Patreon-like Super Follows program to work like a subscription. The company also gave an example where a Super Follower is charged around $4.99/month in order to get access to the extra content which the company called “perks”.
