It is not only about iMessages but the company would welcome Apple to bring any of its services to Windows. iMessages are a hallmark of Apple devices however, the company has planned to open its FaceTime service partially for Windows and Android platforms this year. Despite that, iMessage still remains exclusive for Apple devices only.
If iMessages are brought to Windows devices, it will be of great benefit to the families having different phones. Moreover, parents would also be able to give their kids Android or Windows phones while staying in contact through the best messaging service.
