If you are a local business owner, what is it that you consider to be the most important thing in helping your business to succeed? Is it good customer service? Quality products? Location? Quality management?
All of these things are certainly important, but one thing you may be neglecting is the importance of a quality local landing page.
The local landing page is a web page built for a business at a specific location. Done right, it can be the most effective way to attract new, local customers. According to statistics, 90% of consumers searched for local businesses online in 2019. These searches can be even more impactful since COVID as consumers are searching business sites for information on safety precautions and pandemic-friendly services.
There are a few key factors that will make your landing page a successful tool for your business. Firstly, it needs to rank high in Google’s Local Pack in order to have the greatest visibility for consumers. Secondly it needs to have attention grabbing features, such as a clear, concise headline, and quality information on the first two screenfuls (where consumers spend 74% of their viewing time.) The local landing page also must have easy mobile accessibility as 83% of consumers are doing searches via mobile devices.
If you haven’t given your landing page much though, you are likely missing out on big opportunities to further your local business.
