As part of the iOS version 15, Apple has brought some improvement to the Photos app, which includes a new “info” button that allows access to a number of important things. These include being able to see the EXIF data of a photo, a caption field for a photo, the location where the photo was taken, and Look Up information available relevant to the photo.

With the Info button, you can also see which app the photo was saved from, if it wasn’t directly taken from the camera. What’s more is that the Photos app will also filter and organize all your photos based on where they were saved from if you tap the “Saved from” location displayed in bold. For instance, all the photos saved from web via Safari would appear in one place, so you wouldn’t have to spend time scrolling through all your photos.

The feature also makes it easier to find photos saved from different apps like WhatsApp or Messenger directly in the Photos app, without having to look for them in the apps individually.

iOS 15 has been launched in its early beta stage and its public beta is expected to be released next month. The official release date will be revealed this fall.
