As the chart shows, New York Times has the highest number of paid subscribers i.e., 7.5 million among all other news websites. The website hit a spike of new subscribers after the 2016 President Elections in the USA in which Donald Trump was elected as the nation’s President. Moreover, the platform also had a great year in 2020.
The Washington Post, The Wall Street Journal, Game Informer and the UK's Financial Times rest at in the top five news websites with most subscribers. Followed by the British Guardian, the company celebrated its 200th anniversary earlier this month along with 800K paid subscribers.
